ABOUT THIS CLASS
We will act like tourists in our own city capturing landmarks and exploring hidden places and spaces. Students will focus on decisive moment, choosing backdrops and observation. Field trips will be to places like Harvard Square, North End, Chinatown, Skatepark, Charlestown. Some locations will be set and others will be voted on.
We operate out of a HOME TEACHING SPACE in Roxbury about 2 miles from the Boston pick up in Jamaica Plain.
The staff meets the group at 10am and drops them at the end of the day at 2pm at the Soldier's Memorial ("the monument"), 1 South St, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130).
Students bring lunch or money for food daily.
We supply Nikon DSLR cameras. Editing lessons are done in Lightroom unless otherwise noted.
Students bring a flash drive on the last day of class to collect their edited images (or buy one for $10). Can be purchased during registration.
There is a friendly dog that lives at the teaching space.
Shirt sizes are adult sizes. Every color has a slightly different logo design.
