“Stephanie and Jack absolutely made my week. They taught me so much about photography and overall just made the experience so much better. It was obvious that they not only cared about the students but the experience and learning as well. This was my first time at Big Picture, but after the first day, it didn't feel like that at all."

What People Are Saying:

Charlie had a great time and talked about it all weekend, showing everyone his pictures, and uses one of the other kid's pics for his wallpaper. It was a great experience for him and I'm very grateful. Thanks again.

— James (Parent 2021)

You're amazing Jenny! Your willingness to spend so much time with these young people and take them all over is truly impressive. I am so happy Jack got to spend real time with other kids."

— Jeannine (Parent 2020)

I love Big Picture Art House. Mostly because of the traveling, and the people I meet. I love getting to understand the history of cameras, and the places we go. I especially love when we go swimming. It's so fun to be with people and take pictures of them, and the nature in Massachusetts.

— Melinda (Student 2018-2021)

I love this program. It is just hanging out with your friends going to cool places and taking pictures.”

— Mia (Student 2019-2021)

Elfe was accepted to Boston Arts Academy for September . Half of her portfolio pieces, 10 out of 20, were photos from classes she has done with you. So thank you for being such a great teacher!

— Liz (Parent 2019-2021)

Jennifer, I can’t thank you enough for providing such a fantastic experience for Nina. I’m so happy we found you!

— Sasha (Parent 2020, 2021)

This is one of the best camps you literally get to walk around beautiful towns and buy all types of food.”

— Griffin (Student 2021)

Jennifer's camp is great! The kids learn photography in a fun environment, while making friends and traveling around Boston. The daily trips to restaurants are great too!.”

— Ella (Student 2012-2014)

He enjoys your camps because they are the right combination of learning and fun! He also learns stuff without realizing… And I’m just glad he still enjoys taking photos. You have a good setup going on there…we appreciate it.”

— Myrto (Parent 2019)

Hi Jennifer. I just wanted to let you know how much Ian is enjoying camp! After day 1 he said, 'Next year, I want to go every week and I have 3 more years I can go!!' He's a cool kid with different quirks and likes and it is just wonderful for him to feel so comfortable!! Thank you!!!

— Rachel (Parent 2015)

I am going to take every class you offer from now on

— Sahsa (student 2014)

Thank you for teaching the class! Even though we only had two days, I learned a TON! You inspired me to buy a good camera and I put my favorite photos from class on DeviantArt. Thanks again! PS. Thanks for the bacon

— Julia (student 2011)

“Senai still remembers that week of photography camp as one of the best experiences she’s ever had!”

— Norah (Parent 2013, commenting in 2023)

My son loves this camp because it isn’t like any other ‘camp’ experience. It’s for kids that are tired of the same camp schedules and activities. This is a group of artistic and motivated tweens and teens, all focused on making movies, spending 2 weeks of undivided time on their collective and individual ideas, learning acting, filming, editing and writing, that get in a van, chart their own day under the guidance and expertise of a great role model- Jennifer- a professional photographer, film maker, working artist. This is a real life experience kind of camp--teaching resourcefulness, teamwork & DIY skills.”

— Nancy (Parent 2014)

Thanks for making Chloe’s first week away from home an awesome one. She had so much fun with all of you. I’m afraid the rest of the summer is going to pale comparison! She has so many great memories of the week and is so happy to have made such nice new friends. She can hardly wait for next year’s camp!.”

— Karen (Parent 2018)

“My daughter wasn't particularly interested in photography, but decided to try this with a friend. She thought Stephanie was amazing and declared this "the best summer ever!" She formed very close friendships traveling to unique locations around the city and she came away with a new genuine interest in photography and an eye for interesting composition. She will do it again!”

— Deedee (Parent 2022)

Thank you so much for such a wonderful 3 days, I had a blast! What a great experience.”

— Lilli (Student 2015)

I liked traveling around the city and eating new food!

— Sophie (Student 2013)

I love photography and people so I combined them when I came to this class! I would come again if i could!

— Candace (Student 2011)
